Royal Navy T-Shirts
Description: The Royal Navy (RN) is the United Kingdom's naval warfare force. Although warships were used by English and Scottish kings from the early medieval period, the first major maritime engagements were fought in the Hundred Years' War against the Kingdom of France. The modern Royal Navy traces its origins to the early 16th century; the oldest of the UK's armed services, it is known as the Senior Service.

Description: HMAV Bounty, His/Her Majesty's Armed Vessel Bounty, was a small merchant vessel that the Royal Navy purchased in 1787 for a botanical mission. The ship was sent to the South Pacific Ocean under the command of William Bligh to acquire breadfruit plants and transport them to the West Indies.
Description: HMS Birkenhead, also known as HM Troopship Birkenhead, was one of the first iron-hulled ships built for the Royal Navy. In January 1852, HMS Birkenhead left Portsmouth to transport troops to fight in the Frontier War in South Africa. In February 1852, the ship sank off the South African coast. The sinking of the Birkenhead is one of the earliest maritime disaster evacuations during which the concept of "women and children first" is known to have been applied. "Women and children first" subsequently became standard procedure in relation to the evacuation of sinking ships, in fiction and in life. The term "Birkenhead drill" became defined as courageous behaviour in hopeless circumstances.
