Description: The Winking Skeever is an inn located in Solitude. It's owned by an Imperial named Corpulus Vinius. Corpulus Vinius says that the reason the inn has such a curious name is because, when he was a child, he had a pet skeever that would wink at him, noting that skeevers used to be much smaller. Thus, he named the inn as such.

Description: The Winchester Tavern was a London pub which best friends Shaun and Ed regularly visited prior to Z-Day, often bringing along Shaun's girlfriend Liz, and Liz's flatmates David and Dianne. The pub was owned by John (who according to Shaun and Ed's friend Big Al, had connections with the North London Mafia), and his wife Bernie. It was seemingly named after the Winchester 1886 rifle that hung above its bar (which according to Ed only strengthened Big Al's claims about John). The pub had an arcade machine, a jukebox, and a back door labeled "PRIVATE" which led to its fusebox, as well as an underground cellar which led back out into the street.

Description: The High Time Tavern opened its doors in 1935 in the small Arizona border town of Nogales, making it one of the earliest watering holes in the Arizona Territory after statehood. Aside from a full bar with an extensive tequila menu, High Time ran a full kitchen that made it a popular stop for anyone passing through between Tucson and Mexico. The tavern had live music every night on their respectably sized stage, most commonly featuring country and honky-tonk artists. When they closed up shop is unclear, but it appears that they were still hanging around in the late '80s. While they may be long gone, any business that can make a 50-year run is a success in my book.

Description: Established in November 1966, The Black Cat Tavern was a gay bar located in Los Angeles, California's Silver Lake neighborhood. Two months later, on New Year's Eve, several plainclothes LAPD officers infiltrated the tavern. After arresting several patrons for kissing, the undercover officers began beating several revelers, ultimately arresting fourteen patrons for assault and public lewdness. With no resolve for those wrongfully attacked and arrested, a civil demonstration of over 200 people to protest the raids was held on February 11 outside The Black Cat Tavern. This was one of the first demonstrations in the U.S. protesting police brutality against members of the LGBT community, preceding the Stonewall riots by over two years.

Description: Lacey, Washington, was originally called Woodland after settlers Isaac and Catherine Wood, who claimed land there in 1853. When the railroad came through in 1891, residents decided it was time to apply for a post office. The request was denied because there was already a town called Woodland on the Columbia River. They decided to call the city Lacey and got a post office, though the city of wasn't officially incorporated until 1966. One year later, The Loose Caboose Tavern opened in Lacey, and quickly became a popular watering hole for the locals, many of which commuted to Olympia, Fort Lewis, and to some extent, Tacoma, for work, but came how every night to tie one on at their favorite tavern,
Description: Founded by former slave and acclaimed moonshiner, Willie 'Moonshine' Washington in 1948, Moonshine Willie's was a popular watering hole in Louisville, Kentucky for decades. This hole in the wall was steeped in history, but not just for its extensive selection of Kentucky bourbon, but for the traditional Southern cuisine that came out of their kitchen. Moonshine Willie's small corner stage also played host to countless musicians ranging from bluegrass and country to traditional blues. While Willie had allegedly given up moon shining upon opening his tavern, in the early days it is said that regulars could order themselves a glass of his white lightning on the down low.
Description: Founded in 1987 on North Carolina's Cape Fear, Teach's Tavern was a pirate-themed bar that played up the owner's (alleged) lineage shared with Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, the English pirate who operated around the West Indies and the eastern coast of Britain's North American colonies. The legend of Blackbeard and all pirate kitsch aside, Teach's Tavern was actually a pretty great spot that became known not only for the sunsets from their beachfront patio, but their surprisingly good tavern food which was all made from scratch in their on-site kitchen. Of course, there was no shortage of beers on tap and top-shelf cocktails, but a good number of their regulars were there for the PBR in cans and well drink specials.

Description: The Bannered Mare, serving as Whiterun's most popular gathering place, functions as a tavern and inn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that offers mead, food and a warm, welcoming fire. Almost anyone can be found in the tavern after the shops and stalls close. Its sign is that of a horse carrying a banner. The building has a central tavern area and an adjacent kitchen with a business ledger and strongbox near the roasting spit. To the rear of the main bar area is a small bedroom and office where shady deals may be done. There are two sets of steps to separate bedroom areas. Hulda will always send Saadia over to the player, offering food and drink or, in the quest "In My Time of Need," an option about the Alik'r.
Description: Located in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood, the Walrus Tavern was a legendary live music venue that hosted countless blues and rock 'n roll shows over the years. When it wasn't playing host to local bands and all-time great blues singers, the tavern was a true neighborhood watering hole, providing frosty libations and reliable tavern food. Unlike most places, the Walrus didn't close up shop for lack of customers or ever-increasing rents, rather it burned to the ground in 1984. The concrete pad it sat on remained vacant for decades until another bar opened up next door and annexed the Walrus pad as a beer garden, aptly named 'The Walrus Beer Garden.'
