Terayama T-Shirts
Description: A colourful illustrated tribute to Shūji Terayama, the visionary Japanese filmmaker, poet and experimental theatre director behind Pastoral: To Die in the Country, Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets and Farewell to the Ark. Combining surreal carnival imagery, theatrical performers, butterflies, schoolchildren and dreamlike landscapes, this vintage-inspired collage celebrates the extraordinary visual imagination of one of Japan's most radical artists. Rendered in vivid red, pink, turquoise and cream, the design evokes the psychedelic posters and experimental aesthetics of Japanese underground cinema and theatre.
