As the last light glances across the snowdon summit, I stood from some distance to capture my first glimpse of this years snow...

Last summer I sought out a bit of what the Welsh call... 'distawrwydd' - peace and peacefulness and ventured off to a local spot for me south of the national park towards Porthmadog... Initially I was searching for the elusive wild red kites up high in the mountains and by doing so I just so happened to stumble upon this veranda in the mountains that offered this wonderful summer vista..!!! Having admired the tree colour and diversity and backdrop towards Snowdon for some time and filling my lungs as deep as I could with wonderful Welsh air... I decided to make a picture and this was the result... I imagined the French Pyrenees or the Dordogne as being quite similar and framed my shot...

Land of the Dinosaurs Number of views as of 29th August 2017 = 225. Dan-yr-Ogof (the National Showcaves Centre for Wales) in the Brecon Beacons National Park is also home to a collection of over 200 life-size dinosaur models, including this horned creature, presumably a member of the Triceratops family. The collection also includes a T.Rex, a giant Brachiosaurus, a woolly mammoth and loads more! Date: 25th July 2015.

Brecon Standing Stones Number of views as of 7th September 2018 = 280. Standing Stones near the Welsh National Showcaves Centre, at Dan-yr-Ogof in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It isn't known how long these stones have been here, but it could be anywhere between 3000 and 12000 years. Date: 25th July 2015.
