Zlydni T-Shirts
Description: Missing food. Broken dishes. Empty pockets. Now we know why. In Ukrainian folklore, the Zlydni are troublesome little spirits associated with poverty, misfortune, hardship, and the seemingly endless problems that can settle into a household. This Explains a Lot imagines three unwelcome Zlydni making themselves comfortable around a traditional Ukrainian stove—stealing from the cooking pot, lurking behind the hearth, breaking pottery, scattering food, and generally ensuring that nothing in the house goes quite according to plan. Even the cat knows something is wrong. This design celebrates one of the stranger inhabitants of Ukrainian folklore with a little dark humor. When everything starts going wrong at once, check behind the stove.
