Whitchurch on Thames Tank Top

The scene from the toll bridge at Whitchurch on Thames in Oxfordshire. The church of St Mary stands above the cottages which surround the old mill - no longer working but converted into flats. However, two large water wheels can be seen beneath the building, The church, originally built in Norman times underwent an extensive rebuilding programme during the Victorian period. Whitchurch is across the Thames and just north of the village of Pangbourne in Berkshire.
