This is a sumptuous red mandala with gold

Dedicated to my wife Sandy. This image is made up of two images - the hummingbird was visiting a feeder in my backyard. So I used a second image of the backyard and blurred it somewhat for the new background. The hart and the compilation was worked together in Photoshop CS2. My camera is a Nikon D500 and mounted with a standard 18-55mm lens. Manually focused and set.

I have gotten so busy with life that I've started getting up at 4 AM to paint! This watercolor is hand painted, a ruby throated hummingbird sipping at a pink hibiscus. Enjoy!

This is my second iteration of a ruby throated hummingbird at a hibiscus flower. I used watercolor paint and a micron pen. The color scheme is neutral tones, soft blues, and cool pinks. I've started getting up at 4 AM to paint. My life just got so crazy I didn't have time to paint anymore! I thought getting up at 4 would be difficult, but since I know it is to paint, it's not hard at all.
