Bleeding Tree Tank Tops

The poor tree that is by my laundry building is injured. It has dried drops of sap hanging from its branches. Looks almost like Christmas lights.

This is my painting from a study of flowers picked from my yard in April. This includes white and blue lilac blooms. The dogwood blooms come from my unique tree which has white on one side and pink blooms from the other trunk section. The Dogwood is the state tree of Missouri. The bleeding hearts top off the flowers in the vase. I painted this on black paper to give it more depth.

Tree Sap or xylem sap or phloem sap is called the blood of a tree or birch juice. These sap droplets are related to insect honeydew and maple syrup as the maple tree makes both sap and maple!
