Derwent Reservoir is the middle of three reservoirs in the Upper Derwent Valley in the northeast of Derbyshire,England. This was taken on one of the hottest February days ever recorded.

From an original watercolour this show Derwent Water in the UK Lake District as an early evening mist rolls in from the mountains. A beautiful and atmospheric scene, this is where my art career was to begin four months later after a serious shoulder injury but that's another story!!
