We wanted to show that Jungle Cruise Skippers have a heart. I, for example, have multiple ones, in jars... under my bed. But, enough about my weekend hobbies. We know that the heart of a Skipper beats with pure passion, amazing adventure, and silky sarcasm.

The boats of the Jungle Cruise use a signalling system involving shots on their .38 special pistols. 3 shots means your boat cannot proceed, and serves as a warning to those before and after you. Sometimes we have those moments in our lives. We can’t move forward or back. We’re stuck, where we are. The moments set in. The panic. The fear of being stuck in a boat (metaphorically) with 48 people staring at you for what seems like an hour. We all have felt the way we feel when a boat goes 3 Shot… But just keep calm. Let everyone know what is going on. That you’re all right. And just Three Shot…

Not only is Bertha the most famous elephant in the Indian Elephant Bathing Pool, she is also skilled in her after hours activities. After years of bringing the beats to the Jungle Pool Party, she is now doing sets at a local night club, Sam’s Place. She’s definitely the only DJ who ever scratches the vinyl with their nose.

Now, I don't know much about animals... Ok, I know nearly nothing about animals. But when I go to the zoo, there's one thing I do know. They call these ones, "Stripey Horseys"... (This shirt is in homage to the Jungle Cruise's very famous Stripey Horseys, who have been hanging out on the Veldt for a very long time... and yet few Skippers seem to be able to figure out what they really are...)

On February 27th, 2020, the event known as the "Sinking of the Bomokandi Bertha" shook the internet. We take a moment to remember all the socks that were moistened, the memes that were born, and the Skippers who laughed their asses off. (Except for whomever was in the boat. Wow. Sympathy to you.)

This is a reprint of a design we did for our 2016 Kickstarter campaign, and a few people have asked for it to be available again. Proudly proclaim that you are going to live life like it was a ride... a theme park ride... with fake animals. But one that you are going to conquer with style, panache, and a snappy hat. (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. There's a lot of misconception about the misspellings of "Bote" that are out there. Some people even think there is an "A" in it. (I guess there is... "A bote") But, Jungle Skippers of modern generations know their vehicles of choice by this 4 letter name. Skipper Blue did an amazing job on his Skipper Frank drawing, and people want it as a straight graphic shirt, so here we are. We're super excited about the Jungle Cruise Movie, and our shop and podcast have all sorts of great info about it. Tales from the Jungle Crews, everywhere podcasts are downloaded

So, I could give you a nice long explanation of why the Skippers of Disney's Jungle Cruise ride spell it "Bote" when so many other people spell it "Boat". But, it's a long and boring story, with a lot of historical call backs to the 1970's and 80's... So, instead, I'll tell you that the primary people who are probably looking at this shirt are the Skippers and fans of the ride, because they were probably linked here because of the Jungle Crews podcast, the oral history of Disney's Jungle Cruise ride. Hundreds of hours of really great stories of an incredibly fun job that was loved by all.

Based on the adorable Tikis in Disney World/Disneyland's Adventurelands. I did them in a more streamlined mid-century style.

We hear that in the depths of the Amazon, there's a Jungle Skipper who is willing to risk the highest perils for the sake of taking his passengers up the river. Skipper Frank is certainly one of a kind, and he's definitely going to be a legend.

Homage to Chief Namee/Trader Sam in the Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

There's a big generational gap between Jungle Cruise Skippers. The split happens in the late 90's, when the spelling of "Boat" suddenly changed to "Bote". Well, to make sure that we are representing all generations, we have shirts available now with both spellings.

Skippers like things. We really like things that have to do with being a Skipper. That's exactly what this shirt is about. There's no other meaning, no reference to any popular culture or TV show. It's just that we're Skippers, and we like our things.

So, I got asked to put together something as a sticker for the back of Skipper cars, and Skipper Richard Wallace did not disappoint with his artwork. This sticker will proudly, one assume, identify you as a Skipper. (or just a lover of The Jungle Cruise)

For the Old but Good

Who can forget Jungle Wars, Episode 4 (A Gnu Hope) and the valiant exploits of scoundrel Hippo Solo? For so long there was a controversy, but no matter how much the films are digitally altered, we all know that the Hippo shot first. (And that's why so many people seem to shoot at hippos, particularly Skippers on Disney's Jungle Cruise ride)
