The malachite sunbird (Nectarinia famosa) is a small nectarivorous bird found from the highlands of Ethiopia southwards to South Africa. They favor nectar from aloes and will feed by either perching on the flower or hovering while feeding.

I painted this landscape with acrylic paints on 06-08-2019. The size of the original painting is 40 x 50 cm.
