Azure Kingfisher Tapestries

A brilliantly coloured Azure Kingfisher, taken on the Yellow Waters cruise in Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory

Taken on one of my Top End Photography Tours, during the Yellow Waters cruise at Kakadu. These birds stick to their own territory, and I have been back to the same spot several times and seen the same kingfisher - or a close relative - on the same tree every time!

This beautiful ´Azure Kingfisher´ is an extract from my painting using acrylics on recycled Australian hardwood. They are often seen by river/lake fishermen in my area (east coast of Australia).
