Chapman Park Los Angeles Tapestries

South Los Angeles is a region of Los Angeles County. There is no set definition but most include independent cities like Compton and Inglewood. It is divided, by many locals, into east and west sides.

The Northeast Los Angeles region is one of Los Angeles's oldest, dating back to the annexation of Garvanza, Highland Park, and Sycamore Grove in the late 19th century. Elysian Park is a neighborhood in central Los Angeles, well known for the homonymous park (the oldest in LA) and home of the Dodger Stadium

Leimert Park was created by Walter H. Leimert as a whites-only neighborhood in 1928. However, it has long been a significant cultural hub of Los Angeles's black community.

Hancock Park is a neighborhood in Los Angeles's Midtown region. Although primarily composed of single-family homes, Rossmore Avenue is home to a charming section of older, mid-rise apartment buildings. Monterey Park is a suburban city in the San Gabriel Valley. It is notable for it's Chinese American majority, although it has undergone changes over the years, from a predominantly Taiwanese Chinese population to a mainland Chinese and Hong Konger population. Highland Park is a neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles. It was, along with Sycamore Grove, one of the first two communities to be annexed by Los Angeles, in 1895. In 1927, part of Annandale, Garvanza, Hermon, and York Valley (formerly New York Valley) joined together in an alliance as "Greater Highland Park." Little Central America is a nickname given to the neighborhoods of Westlake and Pico-Union, which are home to large numbers of residents from Salvadoran, Guatemalan, and other Central American backgrounds. It's also home to a large number of restaurants and businesses owned by and catering to people of various Central American backgrounds.
