I just had some offcuts of water colour paper, so I thought I should find a use for them and started experimenting with some leafy doodles. They came out much better than I expected! This was one of my favourites. The rich emerald green colour on the white background gives this artwork a clean, modern look. The palmately compound leaf is one of the most recognizable leaf shapes in the plant world. It's a regular leaf that branches at the stem with a cluster of leaflets in the center. This shape is used by a variety of plants.
