Elizabeth I was Queen of England and Ireland from 17 November 1558 until her death on 24 March 1603. Sometimes called the Virgin Queen, Gloriana or Good Queen Bess, Elizabeth was the last of the five monarchs of the House of Tudor.

Anne Boleyn's Motto: Grumble all you like, this is how it’s going to be, or "ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne." Some translate the motto as "What will be, will be, grumble who may." Either way, she advises the haters to step off. Her other famour motto was "The Most Happy."

Anne Boleyn, c1501 - 1536 CE, was the second wife and queen consort of King Henry VIII of England. She was accused of treason, divorced, and ultimately beheaded becoming in the process one of the most famous queens in all of British history. Upon her marriage to Henry VIII their initials-- an entwined "H" and "A"-- were carved throughout Hampton Court. However, after her fall, these were ordered to be destroyed as Henry VIII strove to remove all traces of his previous wife. Only a few managed to survive-- missed by the workers-- normally in difficult to reach places. I've based my version of Henry and Anne's monogram on one of these overlooked carvings that can still be found in Hampton Court.
