I've allowed traditional form and recognisable angles, shapes, slight tone and impasto..many of which are an anathma to pure colour and colorist demarcated format, ( ethicacy, perhaps ) even the contrast on the colour/color wheel between grey and red is muted. A chaotic pairing of squiggles and lines with vibrant colors.

Inspired by mixed media art that I encountered, I built a sculpture for the wall and photographed it. I began to experiment with digital painting and layering. Needing some gray, black and white elements, I turned to photos of crowds from around the world. Adding the people began to give the abstract more meaning and I saw the swirling lines like a galaxy. It takes all kinds of people to make a galaxy.
