Grecia // Rainbow In Space Vintage Style

This is one of my favorite views in Grecia, Costa Rica. You can see the Central Valley area and the distant mountains and volcanoes. You can also clearly see a closer ridge and gorgeous, green trees everywhere.

Abundance of greenery in Grecia, Costa Rica early in the morning as the overnight haze burns off of the higher altitudes.

This beautiful panel of a garden scene was derived from the Prima Porta Frescoes from the so called House of Livia. These frescoes came from a basement room--where the Roman elite could keep cool in the hot summers while still enjoying this magical landscape of being outside. Some scholars have suggested that not all these plants and animals would be seen together at anyone time, therefore representing the Roman concept of cyclical time and the dawn of a new great age.

Beautiful morning views looking out from the condo in Grecia, Costa Rica. See the nearby mountains, and San Jose is about 45 miles away toward the right part of the picture.

This design is based on a wall painting fragment of a Corinthian column, wheat, and fruit from the peristyle of the Villa of P. Fannius Synistor at Boscoreale.

Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, children, brewers, pawnbrokers and students. He has many names: Saint Nick, Santa Claus, Sinterklass are a few. I really like his habit of giving secrets. Hoping your holidays will be full of gifts and guidance. I know the this look does not match with the usual cultural representation i tried to make it more like a bishop (which he was)
