The following series of mixed-media pieces were done in 2016. The original intent was to use them as backgrounds. However, as I look at them again I realize how dreamlike they look, hence, the title "Dream Cloud Series".

When I am not somewhere where I can set up my paints or printmaking equipment I like to occupy my time doing fluoro work, usually just on paper. I particularly like angular geometric shapes, but in this one I tried to be a little “looser” and put in curves. Sometimes these are large other times they are small enough just to be used as a card or laminated to use as a bookmark. I recently completed one that had a number of sections to it that I really liked and felt would be good as stand alone pieces, so Abstract Fluoro 8 is one of those, a section of Abstract Fluoro 1 which I macro photographed (because it was far quicker than recreating it on another sheet of paper (I’m getting old and life is too short – so much art to do, so little ti...
