Irish Lighthouse Tapestries

I spent two nights in the lightkeeper's house at the Blackhead Lighthouse, which gave me the perfect opportunity to take a close-up photograph of the lighthouse at night.

Black Head Lighthouse, Co.Clare, Ireland, where the Burren meets the Atlantic ocean. Freestanding square-plan single-bay two-storey lighthouse with metal-framed glazed lantern, built 1936. Constructed by Robert McDonald of Galway. Flat concrete roof with light enclosed in riveted metal-framed glazed housing and surrounding by tubular iron railing balustrade. Rendered walls. Timber matchboard door. Set on concrete plinth. Approached by concrete path and steps.

Inspired by the island I currently study and live on. A digital style experiment with an older traditional piece.
