Oil on primed matboard - 25.x 35cm Lake Cathie on the mid north coast of NSW The sand had built up & closed over where Lake Cathie flows out to the surf in March this year. A couple of months ago we had a combination of very high tides & a huge swell & the water came flooding over the sand bank in the late afternoon. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to open up a channel again, so the water had dried up again the next day.

I never get tired of the sunsets at the beaches here on the NSW Mid North Coast. Middle Rock is part of the long stretch of beach between Rainbow at Bonny Hills & where the lake opens to the ocean at Lake Cathie.
