This is an image of St. Genevieve, the Patron Saint of Paris (in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions). Her feast day is kept on January the 3rd. The statue is situated on Pont de la Tournelle in Paris. The sculpture is perhaps one of the most important symbols of Paris. Born in 423 in Nanterre, Genevieve was the daughter of a city magistrate. Fervent believer from an early age, she recovered after her father’s death and moved to Paris. When she was 20, she was ordered by the Bishop of Paris a “Consecrated Virgin”. Caxa Real is a brick-and-coral-colored building situated in the San Francisco neighborhood in the city of Comayagua, Honduras. It is dedicated to social, cultural, educational and business events. It was built between 1739 and 1741 to store all tributes to the Spanish crown, including gold and silver. In addition, bars of gold, plaster and silver were cast on this property (then called Casa de la Moneda) and further moved to Guatemala, which was the then Central American capital to Spain. The building suffered serious damage with the earthquakes of 1774 and 1809, and in 1840, when it was operating as a Government House, it was destroyed by a fire.
