M45 Tapestries

Pleiades (also known as Messier 45, M45, Subaru, Seven Sisters) is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. The cluster is dominated by hot blue stars, that have formed within the last 100 million years. Dust that forms a faint reflection nebulosity around the brightest stars is a cloud in the interstellar medium, through which the stars are currently passing. Picture was taken with newton 600mm f/4 telescope, modified DSLR, total exposure time: 3 hours.

The big and powerful 4 -litre Lagonda M45 is rightly regarded as one of the most desirable post-vintage thoroughbred cars. It was introduced by the Staines-based company Lagonda in 1933, using the famous 6-cylinder 4,453cc overhead valve engine by Henry Meadows

Lagonda is a British luxury car marque established in 1906, which has been owned by Aston Martin since 1947. The marque has had a non-contiguous presence in the luxury car market, being dormant for several times during its existence, most recently from 1995 to 2008 and 2010 to 2013. This is a stack of 92 images combined to show the path of the stars as they rose over the mittens and Merrick Butte in Monument Valley, Arizona. The time span for the complete sequence was an hour. The red glow in the distance is, I believe, the lights of Bluff, Utah. The star cluster over the red glow, between the East Mitten and West Mitten, is Pleiades, also known as M45.
