One element of photography that I enjoy a lot is being able to bring home these "Small Gems" that I find along my travels. They allow me to enjoy the moment far beyond what I'm able to physically stay at any given spot. There has been so many times that I have to just keep going on by and even miss them altogether.

A little time off to explore a daydream adventure.

Most of the time we see these fields as a blur in our peripheral vision. The Rural Views series will those scenes you see as you go down the highway but don't have the time to stop and just enjoy the moment. This is a small field in southern Illinois near where I live.

I saw this car at a car show in Murphysboro Illinois.

This is an image that resulted from 4 images and worked on in Photoshop CS3. The texture is an old weathered board - then the tree line and board was blended together. On top of that I added the other two elements and blended them into the compilation. The evening was a gathering of close friends enjoying each others company.

Compiled from three images - some wood grain blended into a light grey layer. On top of that I blended the flower image. The butterfly was digitally painted in Photoshop CS2.

What can I say...I enjoy what I do.

One of my objectives when photographing is to see if I can capture movement and stop it without losing focus and maintaining the sense of action!

This big guy is a Mastive of some kind - (a rather large one at that) - His name is Moose the Goose. His personality is as large as he is big - A real Big Softy!
