Taking its name from a US Army acronym for "Do I Look Like I Give A Flying Figleaf" (polite version), this Peterbilt truck was pictured at the Bournemouth & Poole Preservation Club's annual Steam & Vehicle Show at Canford Park Arena, Poole, Dorset, England. The number 41 is a 13th smallest PRIME NUMBER. PRIME numbers are RARE. Yes there are many between say 1 and 200 (over 40 primes) but they quickly become rarer. Only 9592 primes between 1 and 100000. So while 41 looks ordinary sitting between ... "LIFE BEGINS at 40"... and " 42 SECRET TO LIFE AND EVERYTHING"... 41 is special. PRIME and PROUD 41 is the 13th smallest prime number. 41 is the sum of the first six prime numbers. 41 is the sum of two squares 16 and 25.

Two Heads Are Better Than One Number of views as of 6th December 2017 = 1410. The steep, chalk cliffs of Bat's Head (left) and Swyre Head (centre) along Dorset's Jurassic Coast to the west of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door in the south of England. Grid reference "SY799805". Curiously Dorset has two Swyre Heads. The other one, just 12 miles (18 km) away, near the village of Kingston is the highest point in the Purbeck Hills. Date: 12th December 2010.

Tom Tower, Oxford Number of views as of 27th November 2018 = 1030. Tom Tower (Oxford, England) stands over the main entrance of Christ Church college and houses the loudest (and probably heaviest) bell in the city, Great Tom, weighing in at 6.25 tons. The square tower with its octagonal lantern and facetted dome was designed by Christopher Wren and built in 1681–82 by stonemason Christopher Kempster of Burford. This photograph was taken from the tower of St Mary’s University Church, which provides some of the finest views of the city's 'dreaming spires'. Date: 30th October 2010. Triple Punch Number of views as of 9th May 2019 = 1270. Heather Keeble working her team of three Suffolk Punches in the Heavy Horse Turnout Championship at the New Forest Show, near Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England. The team are harnessed in 'unicorn' formation, one at the front, two at the back. The breed, always chestnut in colour, takes the first part of its name from the county of Suffolk in East Anglia, and the name "Punch" from its solid appearance and strength. Date: 28th July 2011.

Southerness Lighthouse Number of views as of 19th May 2018 = 1030. Southerness Point is on the Solway Firth, 15 miles south of Dumfries. Its unusual rectangular-walled lighthouse is apparently the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland. The lighthouse was built in 1748-49 to help guide ships up the River Nith estuary to Dumfries. Solent Express Number of views as of 9th October 2018 = 1000. Pictured departing from Ryde on the Isle of Wight on its way across the Solent to Southsea, this is Hovertravel's BHT130 "Solent Express" hovercraft. Introduced in 2007, the Solent Express carries 130 passengers, is diesel-powered, and makes the crossing in just under 9 minutes, at least 13 minutes faster than its closest competitor. The Ryde-Southsea link is one of only two scheduled, year-round hovercraft services in the world and is certainly the longest running service, having been introduced in 1965. Detroit Tin Number of views as of 11th March 2018 = 1220. The gleaming paintwork, whitewall front tyre and polished chrome of a Cadillac Eldorado Seville, circa 1959. Don't know the history of this vehicle, but it somehow made it over to England, and has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. Not bad for a sofa on wheels! Location: Bournemouth, Dorset. Date: 16th May 2010.

The Seven Sisters Number of views as of 6th March 2016 = 1000. The Seven Sisters are a string of chalk cliffs, formed where the South Downs of England meet the sea near Eastbourne in Sussex. Their names (from left to right, west to east) are Haven Brow, Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flat Hill, Bailey's Hill and Went Hill. 35mm slide scanned using Plustek 7200. Date: April 2006.

Rame Head Number of views as of 8th October 2018 = 1480. Close to the village of Rame in south-east Cornwall and just west of Plymouth Sound, this coastal headland is often the first sight of land for sailors arriving at Plymouth. A hill fort during the Iron Age, the head is topped by the shell of a small chapel dedicated to St Michael, the patron saint of sea-farers. Date: 25th October 2011. Hartland Point, North Devon, England Number of views as of 20th November 2018 = 1225. Numerous ships have been wrecked on the dangerous and sometimes fog-bound cliffs around Hartland Point as the mighty Atlantic pounds the shoreline, exerting a pressure estimated at up to 4 tons per square foot. The lighthouse here was built by Trinity House in 1874, to guide shipping entering the broad mouth of the Bristol Channel. The awesome 325 foot high rocky outcrop towering above the lighthouse was known to the Romans as the 'Promontory of Hercules'. Lundy Island can be seen on the horizon a dozen miles away. HMS St Albans, Dartmouth Number of views as of 13th February 2019 = 1000. The town of Dartmouth, south Devon, England, steeped in naval and smuggling history, as seen from across the River Dart at Kingswear. Overlooking the town is the Britannia Royal Naval College, where Royal Navy officers have been trained since 1905 (some of them must be getting on a bit now)! The Royal Navy frigate HMS St Albans (F83) is moored on the river. Date: 20th March 2011.

*Not a Ferrari!* Number of views as of 15th June 2018 = 1575. Ferrari are not the only company to use the 'Prancing Horse' logo, as can be seen on this 1970 Aveling and Barford dump truck, still looking good at 40. The Aveling Barford company was formed in 1933, an amalgamation of two other UK companies - Aveling & Porter and Barford & Perkins, both manufacturers of steam and motor rollers. The company continued to produce road rollers and other construction equipment from its base in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The Aveling Barford marque is currently owned by Wordsworth Holdings, who sadly went into administration in March 2010, a victim of the recession. Let's hope the marque can be saved. *Glasgow Tramcar No 22* Number of views as of 8th October 2018 = 1450. Location: National Tramway Museum, Crich, Derbyshire, England. The Tramway Museum is built on the site of an old quarry, and as well as featuring an impressive collection of trams, the site also includes several reconstructed buildings, including the one shown here, which was the former Derby Assembly Rooms. This shot was taken on a freezing cold, misty, murky day in February when it was almost too cold to operate the trams due to the risk of the points freezing! Palace House, Beaulieu Number of views as of 18th July 2018 = 1290. Palace House in the village of Beaulieu (New Forest, Hampshire, England) dates from the 13th century and was originally the Great Gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey. It has been home to the Montagu family since 1538, when it was purchased from the Crown following the dissolution of the monasteries. The grounds of the Beaulieu estate also include the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey and the National Motor Museum. Date: 25th March 2012.

The Ice Age Is Coming Number of views as of 26th February 2018 = 1160. Six inches of snow on the ground and icicles covering every twig and branch on the Blorenge, between Abergavenny and Blaenavon, Monmouthshire, Wales. At 480 metres, the Blorenge is far from being the highest mountain in Wales but it dominates the local landscape south of Abergavenny. Meanwhile the afternoon sun illuminates the face of another nearby mountain, the 596 metres Sugar Loaf (top centre). Date: 1st January 2010. Royal Mail Coach Number of views as of 26th February 2018 = 1280. A replica of the London-Holyhead Royal Mail Coach, seen here with four horse team, at the New Forest Show, near Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England. In the late 18th century, these mail coaches would cover the 261 mile 'Irish Mail' route between the city of London and the port of Holyhead (Anglesey, Wales), in approximately 27 hours. At Holyhead, the mail continued its journey to Dublin by boat. The advent of the railways saw the rapid decline of the mail coach in the 1840s and 1850s. Date: 28th July 2011.

Clam Bridge, Wycoller Number of views as of 6th May 2019 = 1150. Clam Bridge is an ancient stone footbridge and ford at Wycoller Country Park, Wycoller, near Colne, Lancashire, England.
