Description: This shot of Morro Bay was taken from the hills above Montana De Oro State Park, south of the bay, as the overcast sky was breaking up. The three smoke stacks to the right of Morro Rock are part of the power plant, which was closed in February, 2014. Photographed in May, 2015, with a Pentax 645Z.

With its light in tact, remains a silent reminder of the Lorain historic relationship with Lake Erie shipping. The date of 1917 is the most accurate available for the construction of the current Lorain Lighthouse structure.
