Description: The **Red Bird of Paradise** (*Paradisaea rubra*) is an exotic species endemic to the tropical rainforests of Indonesia's **Raja Ampat archipelago**. These stunning birds are primarily found in the lush habitats of **Waigeo, Gam, and Batanta islands**. Unfortunately, the Red Bird of Paradise population is declining rapidly due to several critical environmental threats: * **Habitat Loss:** Continuous illegal logging and the conversion of rainforests into roads, plantations, and agricultural land. * **Human Expansion:** The steady encroachment of human settlements into protected territories. * **Poaching:** Illegal wildlife trade and hunting remain significant risks to their survival.
Description: This is a male Lesser Bird of Paradise (Paradisaea minor) that lives in tropical rainforest of New Guinea island (West Papua and Papua New Guinea). The bird plays important role in preserving rainforest environment because it disperse seeds of fruits that it eats to all corners of the forest. The population of the paradise is being threatened by the rapid conversion of forest into farmland, roads, hunting, monoculture plantation and human settlements. I made this drawing to raise awareness among all of us about the importance of preserving the rainforest.
