Pickman Tapestries

Another humorous food inspiration for a Lovecraftian work, "Pickman's Model." In the story, Pickman is obsessed with ghoulish doings in the Boston Underground (of actual ghouls). He eventually becomes a ghoul himself (in a later Lovecraft tale). Rather than stalking the underground, what if Pickman took the macabre diet of the ghouls to the foodies...

Print based upon a woodcut found in the long thought lost John Dee English translation of the dread Necronomicon. Scholars believe this woodcut was done by an ancestor of the notorious Boston artist Richard Upton Pickman who can to a very strange end (see Pickman's Model by HP Lovecraft for more details)
