An ancient Roman fountain carved out of marble is set into the wall of this Italian villa. The open window lets the sunlight in creating a dramatic play on light and shadows.

The oldest Christian mosaic dome is found in a closed Circular room of the Roman Villa of Centcelles in Catalonia. This design is inspired by one geometric frieze of the mosaic. I have changed the colors.
