Sky Rim Tapestries

Looking at the beautiful Milky Way and the Abert Rim in the foreground.

On the path to Bright Angel Point, this tree still stands, years after being torched in a fire started by a lightning strike. I like the silhouette it casts in this dawn sky over the Grand Canyon North Rim.

The Milky Way was bright in the sky once the (almost new) moon went down -- so much so that it was even reflected on the calm waters of Lake Wyaralong!

Standing just back from the foreshore of Wyaralong Dam as the rain clouds light up at sunset.

Shot from the ferry going to Vashon Island, Mount Rainier stands unique.

The Milky Way stretches across the sky, high above Lake Wyaralong and the setting, nearly-new moon. The moon was actually only a tiny sliver, which is why its light didn't hide the stars.
