Humber Bridge over the River Hull Tapestry

When constructed this was the worlds longest single span suspension bridge. The distance between the two uprights is approx 1.4 KM, nearly a mile. The overall length of the bridge is well in excess of a mile. The river it spans is the Hull. The bridge on the north bank is in Hessle, a small village about 6 miles outside the city of Kingston Upon Hull, or more commonly known simply as Hull. Feats of engineering like this always fascinate me and to have had the opportunity to go onto the north bank foreshore of the Hull and get this shot was simply amazing.
