Vintage Thompson Ammeter 1 Tapestry

Still Life Tapestry

designed and sold by  Robert Alsop

Age of electric power. Vintage ammeter inside the Canadian Niagara Power Plant control room. Ammeter is an instrument for measuring electric current in amperes. The first major power plant on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, CNP was completed in 1905 to produce hydroelectricity by using the power of the Niagara River. It was decommissioned in 2006 and acquired by Niagara Parks in 2009. Presently closed to the public, Niagara Parks plans to transform the historic Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station into a landmark attraction and multi-use visitor space.
