The Villa Traub is a villa in the Střešovice district of Prague built for the leather manufacturer Edmund Traub in 1928/29 according to plans by Bruno Paul in the architectural style of Classical Modernism . The Traub family of Jewish manufacturers fled to London after Prague was occupied by the National Socialists . After the Second World War, the villa was nationalized and was the seat of diplomatic missions in the post-war period , including: the commercial representation of the GDR in the CSSR .
