*Felixstowe Ferry* Number of views as of 4th May 2017 = 390. Felixstowe Ferry is a small hamlet a couple of miles north of the main town of Felixstowe (Suffolk, England). A ferry boat carries passengers across the River Deben to Bawdsey on the opposite bank. Freshly caught fish is usually available from the quayside. Date: 30th July 2013.

Situated on land formerly part of Gosbecks Farm, the Archaeological Park is recognised as one of the most significant Iron-Age and Roman sites in the country. Excavations in the fields surrounding the farm (probably named after the 13th century land owner, Rodger de Gosebek) began n the 19th century with the discovery of a Roman temple by an amateur archaeologist, the Revernd Henry Jenkins. However the true scale of the site wasn't known until archaeologists examined aerial photographs of the area in the 1930's. Once the focus of the extensive pre-Roman settlement of Camulodunum (present day Colchester) and the royal seat of a succession of native Kings, Gosbecks Archaeological Park offers today's visitor a mix of outstanding Archa...

Woodbridge Tide Mill Number of views as of 11th July 2017 = 400. There has been a tide mill here at Woodbridge (Suffolk) on the River Deben for over 800 years. The present structure was built in 1793 and by the 1950s it had become the last working tide mill in England. It finally closed in 1957, but was restored and opened to the public in 1973. Date: 29th July 2013.

Bressingham Hall and Gardens Number of views as of 9th June 2019 = 390. Bressingham Gardens (just west of the town of Diss, Norfolk, England) were established by Alan Bloom MBE, an internationally recognized plant expert specializing in hardy perennials. He purchased the 220 acre site in 1946 and developed it into a nursery, garden centre, landscaped gardens and a steam museum. Bressingham Hall (pictured), a Georgian mansion overlooking the gardens was built in the 1760s and became the Bloom family home. Date: 3rd August 2013.

Home on the Broads Number of views as of 24th January 2018 = 930. A desirable residence on the Broads near Wroxham, Norfolk. The Broads are a network of (mostly navigable) rivers and lakes in the English counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. The Broads and surrounding land is a specially protected area, managed in a similar way to UK National Parks. The total area is 303 square kilometres (117 square miles), most of which is in Norfolk, with over 200 kilometres (120 miles) of navigable waterways. There are seven rivers and 63 broads, the majority less than 4 metres deep. Thirteen broads are generally open to navigation, with a further three having navigable channels. Date: 11th August 2010. Ely Cathedral Ceiling. Cambridgeshire, UK

An original painting inspired by the beautiful view of Southwold beach from the end of the Pier, at the beginning of the season when swimmers first venture into the sea.

Southwold Lighthouse Number of views as of 1st July 2019 = 825. First constructed in 1889, Southwold Lighthouse (Suffolk, England) is unusual in that the 102 feet (31 metres) tall structure is surrounded on all sides by town houses. The lighthouse acts as a warning light for shipping passing along the east coast of England and as a guide for vessels navigating to Southwold harbour. The original light was an oil-fired lamp, but the lighthouse was electrified and automated in 1938. Currently the light has a range of 24 miles and uses a 90 volt, 150 watt revolving lamp. Date: 1st August 2013.

Aldeburgh Number of views as of 25th June 2017 = 600. Aldeburgh is a small seaside town in the county of Suffolk on the east coast of England. Fishing boats are launched from the shingle beach and the catch is sold from huts on the sea front (right of shot). This shot shows the War Memorial and its attractive gardens, whilst the building with two tall chimneys is the ancient Moot Hall where the Town Council still convenes. Date: 29th July 2013.

Blickling Hall Number of views as of 3rd February 2019 = 980. The Jacobean splendour of Blickling Hall, near Aylsham in Norfolk, England. Formerly the home of the Boleyn family, the Hall was rebuilt in the 17th century by Sir Henry Hobart, an English judge and politician. During the Second World War, Blickling was used as the officer's mess for nearby RAF Oulton. It is also said to be haunted! Date: 8th August 2010. Click here to view my East Anglia gallery.

*Southwold Homes* Number of views as of 8th March 2018 = 500. A colourful row of traditional and modern homes at Southwold, Suffolk, on the East Coast of England. Date: 1st August 2013.

This was an original painting I created of The Lord Nelson Pub in Southwold. Great for the perfect seaside pint.

This was originally a large canvas painting I created of Aldeburgh Beach in Suffolk. The painting is called "Off Season".

A view of the timber-framed cottages in The Street in Chelsworth. These all date from 1300-1500. The village dates from at least 870AD with many signs of Roman settlement here. Chelsworth is thought to have been at an important river crossing in Roman times.
