I don’t remember a lot of what I learned in school, but I do remember the importance of checks and balances in the United States government. The people who set up our government did it so one branch of government (mostly the executive branch) wouldn’t end up with too much power, therefore undermining our democracy. WELL, it’s not working right now. The legislative and judicial branches are not holding the executive branch in check. That’s bad.
