This design originally comes from a Chinese communist propaganda poster from 1966, which details a member of the Red Guard destroying the "Four Olds" (old ideas, old culture, old habits, and old customs). All Hail Chairman Meow. A vintage Chinese propaganda poster redesigned, replacing Chairman Mao with a cat, Chairman Meow.

WWII propaganda leaflet which was used throughout Japanese occupied China. The leaflet asks Chinese citizens to assist downed American airmen and shows them what insignia is used by the Americans.

Late 1945 Allied propaganda leaflet dropped over China. Such leaflets informed Chinese citizens what an American pilot looked like, his uniform and so on. It also asked the Chinese to assist any downed flyer they might find in need of help.

Stencil is an art technique that uses prints as the main tool. Stencil art is a branch of fine art. At the beginning of its development, the stencil technique was used for screen printing purposes, agency signs or vehicle plates. The use of stencil techniques usually uses equipment such as paper patterns and spray paint. Because the process uses a fixed pattern, stencil images are often displayed repeatedly, for example on wall media. Stencil art was born as a medium for criticizing urban life, such as in England, stencil art often appears in public places such as disused buildings, subway tunnels and city walls.

(I didn't want to go the obvious route and slap Mickey on there, and instead tried to find medium between Mao Zedong and a 1930's cartoon. For the other cartoons, recognizability wasn't a concern, but I kept it to the 1930's and the public domain.)
