After Anton Ego reviewed the restaurant, Gusteau's was shut down due to a rat infestation. Remy and Alfredo Linguini then used the profits to found La Ratatouille so the former could continue to pursue his passion in cooking. Remy is the head chef of the restaurant, while Colette Tatou serves as his sous-chef and Linguini as its waiter, with the two implied to still be in a relationship.
