This is an image of a girl sitting in a window frame at the Royal Ontario Museum. I was really struck by the shape of the window, its sharp geometric lines in strict contrast with human form inside its frame. The window has the obvious practical purpose of letting the light in but its unconventional shape, lying now within the confines of normality, is what appealed to me.

As sunsets go, this one was pretty much perfect. The sky was cloudless and the almost perfectly calm water of Lake Huron gave an overall dreaminess to the spectacle. Here the Sun is just kissing the horizon, which is otherwise just an indistinct transition between sky and water. Everything was surreal.

There's nothing like enjoying a vacation next to a golden sand beach with Sun and surf, and in this case a palm tree. This is an image I captured while walking on the beach near Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was a warm, sea-breezy day. The fronds on the tree were yielding to the breeze, dancing to the ever-changing gusts. All along that stretch of shoreline, there was a reef a couple of metres off-shore that shielded the beach from the power of the surf, making the on-shore waves gentle. I hope you can feel the warmth of this day as you view this image.

This is a view of one of the deep turquoise pools in the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park. The extraordinary, desolate landscape, is dotted with richly coloured geyser pools, which are in turn ringed with orange-stained rock. In the distance, the omnipresent lodge pole pines complete the amazing spectrum of colours.

Visiting Cambridge University requires that you visit the grounds of King's College. This is a view from the southeast across the Front Court of the Gibbs Building and the King's College Chapel to the right. The Gibbs Building, named after its architect, is built in a neoclassical style and completed in about 1730. I love this image for the way the building stands out in the bright sunlight; it just looks so proud across the immaculately mowed lawn.

Toronto really does have some tall buildings. The older ones tend to be tall rectangular boxes, but others are flights of fancy from architects who have been given free rein to create art on an enormous scale. These matching golden towers reside at Wellington and Bay; they are a sight to behold.

We were hiking the path from Corniglia to Vernazza in the Cinque Terre region of Italy when we spotted the old tower of the Doria Castle on the cliff above Vernazza. We wanted to explore further and sought to find out if we could climb the tower. Well, of course, you can, for a price but it was worth it for the view. I was really taken though with the very rudimentary spiral staircase in the tower, which did make a very interesting image when looking down.

Originally an NFT that I've got up on Objkt / TezosNFT. I've changed the title from Medusa to Digital Medusa for this design. I used procreate and destroypix apps to create this digital art. The art depicts a vibrantly glitched colored head with glitched strings of hair emerging from it's scalp, I kept the colors as vibrant as I could without making it too much for the eyes. I hope you like it.

This image is of some lovely flowers I encountered while on a hike to see the Abrams Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains national park.

We were down at the beach in Bayfield to see the sunset. But seeing the Sun set below the horizon isn't the only view to take in. Was the lake almost calm with just gentle ripples making their way to shore, or are those waves crashing ashore? I'll leave you to decide.

We were in Michigan to attend a wedding, staying at a lake house on Lake Lancer. It was the end of the summer, a cool, clear day with scattered clouds. It's a bit of a photographic cliché to capture an image out along a jetty, but given the opportunity, why not? I do hope you like it.

This is an image of a section of the cloisters in Norwich Cathedral. In doing some reading, it seems that the cloisters here are the second largest in England; they certainly are extensive. While the cathedral was completed in about 1150, the cloisters weren't completed until about 300 years later. That still makes them very old. What I love about this image is the wonderful architecture being illuminated the bright sunlight that in combination with the stonework gives the cloister radiant glow. I do hope you also love it.

This photo captures the amazing detail of the Sagrada Familia Basilica (Barcelona, Spain). This design would be a perfect gift for an architecture student or professional, or anyone who is passionate about history and beautiful buildings!

This image depicts the Canadian parliament building in the background behind the Centennial flame. It was a really cold night. What I like about the the image is that it is almost monotone except for the Centennial flame and the Canadian flag atop the Peace Tower..
