This is one of a pair of complementary patchwork pattern works. I had so much fun today playing with color & pattern.

This is a third colour version. The individual elements that make up this pattern were hand drawn with felt tip markers, scanned and then composed into a repeat pattern in Photoshop. It is kind of like completing a puzzle with infinite outcomes... so much fun.

I have always loved patterns of all sorts and fabric design... lately I finally got my act together to figure out how to make my own patterns, I am having a lot of fun. Next step - to get them onto some fabric somewhere... : )

I began this with a black ink pen and a piece of paper. Getting to this end result was a lovely, two day long journey of playing with colours and possibilities.
