Sundown - Marcus Williams (callsign: Sundown) is a Naval Flight Officer and graduate of TOPGUN. In Top Gun, Sundown is Chipper's radar intercept officer (RIO). He is first seen at the bar when Maverick & Goose sing to Charlie. He briefly sang solo to Charlie, with adequate talent. He was later temporarily assigned as Maverick's RIO shortly after Goose's death. Sundown and Maverick had a fallout, because of Maverick still being upset over Goose's death. Sundown is last seen at the TOPGUN graduation ceremony speaking to Chipper regarding Maverick's whereabouts and state of mind.

Gordon Meredith Lightfoot Jr. CC OOnt (November 17, 1938 – May 1, 2023) was a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist who achieved international success in folk, folk-rock, and country music. He is credited with helping to define the folk-pop sound of the 1960s and 1970s.

"Sundown" is a distressed mixed media abstract in blue, orange, very dark tones of aubergine, purple and green and some magenta highlights. It made me think of the poem "Sundown" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow The summer sun is sinking low; Only the tree-tops redden and glow: Only the weathercock on the spire Of the neighboring church is a flame of fire; All is in shadow below. O beautiful, awful summer day, What hast thou given, what taken away? Life and death, and love and hate, Homes made happy or desolate, Hearts made sad or gay! ...
