The SUN rising.

One night, my seven-year-old grandson was being told by his parents you’ve got to get to bed so you can get up early, at the “Crack of Dawn” to go fishing with Grandpa (me). Later he asked them what was a “crackadon”? This painting is my representation of the answer to his question, a Crackadon is a rare dinosaur, yawning at the Crack of Dawn. Later, we had a great time fishing together! Now the “Crackadon” fun family story is one we can pass along.

This photograph was taken at sunrise in late October on Lake Nockamixon in Bucks County, PA. The early morning mist coming off the lake and the golden light of the sun gives this picture a somewhat eerie feeling.
