Talbot Pillows

Lacock Village Number of views as of 12th December 2017 = 525. This is the picturesque High Street in the village of Lacock, near Chippenham, Wiltshire, England. The village dates from the 13th century and has remained largely unchanged over the centuries. It has many half-timbered, lime-washed and stone houses and other buildings. The ground floor of the half-timbered building on the right wall really does slope outwards quite significantly - evidently a Friday afternoon job! The village played its part in the development of photography, for it was here in the 1830s that William Henry Fox Talbot pioneered the negative/positive photographic process. A drawing of the Talbot Matra Rancho or Matra-Simca Rancho, depending on where you grew up, shown here in Fluorescent yellow/green. I had a massive fold out poster of one this on my wall as a kid. Always seemed the coolest looking 'car' or 'leisure activity vehicle.' Had no idea it wasn't 4x4 from the poster nor that it was a 'budget' car at the time. Still looks cool to me but I think I'll stick with the 4x4 with plastic bits stuck on it I have now.
