When I was a kid in the 80’s i used to have a Sony Walkman with an awesome collection of cassette tapes and I watched as time passed and analog storage crumbled into binary digital format, now all I have is ones and zeros in my phone and on my computer. This design is a visual representation of that.

The angel of death descends upon an isolated farmhouse, bearing the hebrew character Aleph on its back and accompanied by moths. The Hebrew character Tav rises from the ground like crosses to commemorate the dead within.

The Masque Of The Red Death design is inspired by Roger Corman's classic Poe inspired horror film starring the legendary Vincent Price. The film tells the story of the evil Prince Prospero, a medieval Italian prince, devoted to the pursuit of evil and the worship of Satan, who enjoys the high life in his eerie country castle as the Red Plague destroys the peasant population around him. Alongside Price, the film also stars Hazel Court and Jane Asher and was shot by Nicolas Roeg.

This design is based on a beautiful painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. I really love that Shepherdess painting and wanted to do a homage in my style. Making the shepherdess a grim reaper figure tells a whole different story than the original… Makes it more sinister and macabre. I love the sheep and the innocence of the lamb and how weirdly peaceful the sheep looks while Death is taking away the lamb. I have to thank Bouguereau for painting such a wonderful communication between the figures, he truly was a great master.

When I was a kid I had a killer collection of cassette tapes and a walkman, now all i have is ones and zeroes in my phone.

I was in the mood for creating something dark, scary, occult and black metal inspired. I am inspired by all things dark, grim and macabre. That’s how this Grim came to life… He resembles a hooded grim reaper and has a Leviathan cross on his chest. I also added a couple more skulls and some inverted cross for a more dramatic effect.

Silence of the Lambs: When Clarice sees the dress on the dressmaker's form, the diamond shapes of material pinned to the back are exactly like what she saw missing from the girl in the ... Clarice realized from her talks with Lecter that Buffalo Bill knew his first victim.
