After the Serenade' is a still life painting with a romantic theme, leaving the viewer to imagine the scene which has just taken place and to wonder what happened next. Using transparent watercolour I've used a glazing technique to build up the depth of colours, particularly on the violin body to ensure a richness and glow which can only really be achieved with my Daniel Smith paints.
