The Pretty Pigeon is a fantail pigeon. Fantail pigeons are often used in pigeon racing to attract the pigeons that are racing back to the loft. This image was created in loving memory of my father who raced and bred pigeons his whole life, following in his fathers footsteps.

Puppy Love was first sketched then painted using watercolors. This design was inspired by new love and of course my love of dogs.

Barking Mad was inspired by crazy toddlers. That stage that they go through where you either feel like they have gone barking mad or you have. The dog was first drawn and then painted using watercolors.

The Be Careful of my Spikes Echidna was inspired by those with attitude that can seem to be a bit spiky or prickly in nature until you get to know them. It could also be for someone with super spiky hair! The echidna was first drawn and then painted with watercolor.

The Echidna, a Gum Tree and all the cockatoos was drawn, painted with watercolors and then digitally combined to create one image. My husband and I got married in a national park and every time we walk to the exact spot where we got married from the car park, we come across the cutest Echidna.

I love seeing trees full of cockatoos and other birds. You really feel like your in nature when there are lots of birds chirping in the trees. Cockatoos are one of my most favorite birds. This would be because I associate these birds with many happy memories spent as a child and my Grandma and Pop’s place who always had cockatoos as pets. The tree and cockatoos are painted with watercolor paint.

This cockatoo reminds me of visiting my grandparents house growing up. Pop always had at least one cockatoo as a pet and my sisters and I loved talking to them for hours. Well except for one called Butch who would chase us around the backyard. The cockatoo is a watercolor paintings.

Just a few minutes up the road from the ferry terminal at Kangaroo Island, South Austrlaia is a beautiful lookout towards Penneshaw and just across the road was an even more beautiful lookout with hay bales and a view over the coast. A perfect stop just before jumping back on the ferry to Adelaide.
