Description: I was roaming around the neighbourhood with my camera a few days ago and decided I would do the unthinkable and snap up some floral pieces. I'm not a guy who generally likes "pretty things", so I thought this one would be a bit of a challenge for myself. Description: Istanbul, Turkey. This is the view of the new city, taken from the other side of the Bosphorus River, in the old city. We spent a few days in Istanbul, visiting sites and taking in the rich culture that Turkey is so well known for. This scene stood out to me, among the more modern buildings of the new city stood this tower, like something straight out of a Disney cartoon. Galata Tower was constructed in 1348 as part of the Geones empire. It was used as a vantage point for spotting enemy fleets of ships, fires in the outer reaches of the land and as a weapons store. Today the tower is used as a main point of attraction for tourists. Restaurants and cafes have been placed on the upper levels, allowing people to sit and enjoy ...
Description: I'll interrupt my European adventure pieces for a moment to upload a piece that I finished a while ago.. This is a statue at Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne. Captured this around 5pm when the sun was on it's way down, a strange glow was in the air that's only ever present at dusk. It gave a sense of loneliness and I decided the Lensbaby would be an appropriate way to accentuate that sense further. *Featured in The Silky Touch* *Featured in Shameless Self Promotion* *Featured in High Quality Images* *Featured in The Secret Society* *Featured in Moody & Evocative* *Featured in #1 Artists of RedBubble* *Featured in Altered By Imagination* *Featured in Art Universe* Original photo cropped to square and blended with textures from w...

Description: I captured this guy at the Dehiwela Zoo in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This African Brown Lion is six years old and was napping in his enclosure. As soon as my shutter sounded, his eye opened and he glared up at me with an alarming amount of anger. I'd clearly disrupted a deep sleep. Suddenly, I was really glad to be 10 metres above him and not face to face. The lions here, like many of the animals within the zoo, are part of a breeding program to keep their species away from extinction. At the time we visited, the leopards were being bred. One male and one female in each breeding cage. It was great to see such positive activity toward our animals future in this zoo. *Featured in The Male Photographer* *Featured in Style Class Elegance...

Description: The unique cathedral is still being built in Barcelona, Capital city of Catalonia. Antoni Gaudi is the mastermind behind this design and construction. He began work on it in 1883 and after his death in 1926, the construction and plans have been the subject of many discussions, debates and political wars. To this day it is still being built and the general future of the cathedral is under speculation and the centre of controversy. Description: Cape Schanck, Victoria, Australia Sitting on the balcony, reading a book, I looked up and noticed a crow had perched itself on the television antenna on the roof. I sprinted in, got the camera and took about 80 shots of the bird, and a few of his friends, as they came into frame and landed too. It took me a while to work out what to do with the shots, and this is the end result of a few solid hours of post processing. Crows have a strange effect on me, they can calm me and make me feel a bit uneasy at the same time. *Manipulation Of The Day 18/01/10 - Photo Manipulators Group* *Featured in Around The World* *Featured in The Patchwork* *Featured in #1 Artists Of Redbubble* *Featured in All About Your Best Work* *Featur...

Description: Mt Donna Buang, Victoria; Australia. A thick and incredible fog descended upon the area as we arrived to start shooting, providing the perfect setting with the dead trees, flowers and scenery all around. It reminded me of Sleepy Hollow, with the atmospheric movie-like scenes that the fog created. Truly magical place to visit. Canon 5D Mk III Canon 24-70 f2.8

Description: The majestic Mt Fuji, in the Honshu prefecture of Japan. a cable car ride from Lake Fujikawaguchi provided me with this incredible view of the monolithic volcano, and the additional gift of an eagle soaring high above the landscape. The beauty of Fuji is that it is a stand alone mountain. The land all around it falls to the ground, making it view able 360 degrees all around.

Beautiful. Seen. Don't hide - you're spectacular. If you only knew what I really see in you. I could look at you for hours, and see the real you. One of a kind. Textured. Deep. Would you ever see me? Or am I just in your background.. I want to touch you gently, brush my cheek against you softly. Have you move me on the inside, feel your warmth within me deeply. Neither of us perfect, scratched upon the surface. Frayed around the edges, just waiting for someone to love us._ Captured at Heidi Sculpture Park & Gallery, Melbourne. Aus...
