I printed the background using leaves and flowers from the garden, then drew the butterflies in coloured pencil. The butterflies are: Red Admiral, Gatekeeper and Peacock (from top to bottom)

This painting was inspired by my youngest nephew. Whilst visiting a country park he spontaneously hugged the trees. I had my camera handy and captured the moment, later using the photograph as a reference to create the painting in acrylics.

These beautiful finches visited our garden on a snowy winter's morning, their markings standing out against the grey surroundings. This inspired me to create my painting using acrylic paint and collage.
I managed to get a quick snapshot of this little rabbit whilst we were walking on a local nature trail. I used a mixture of techniques for the background including wet in wet, resist techniques (masking fluid and candle wax) and salt. For the detail on the rabbit I used coloured pencils.
