Description: At age 29, Ocasio-Cortez became the youngest woman ever to serve in the United States Congress. She reminds all of us that even while greed and corruption slow our progress, even while armies of lobbyists swarm Washington, in our democracy, true power still rests with the people.
Description: Named after Anna Wintour; editor-in-chief of Vogue and a brilliant eye for fashion and young designers. Despite her claims to the contrary, Wintour became a force in the fashion world, not only through her decisions about what to feature in her magazine, but also by breaking in newer designers and celebrating their styles. . This piece was inspired by my favourite Anna Wintour quote, "The notion that a contemporary woman must look mannish in order to be taken seriously as a seeker of power is frankly dismaying," she wrote. "This is America, not Saudi Arabia"
