In Jazz music it's common that there are different variations of one track. Although the theme of it stays the same, the musicians add their own feel to it, make their own interpretation, improvisation, version of it. The ease and the softness of the tone in de Chet Baker version of this Jazz Standard "Stella by Starlight" (Live in Tokyo, 1987) was the inspiration of the original version.
