Description: Today would of been @aaliyah 44th birthday! She was always someone I look up to. Her music brings me back to my childhood when my mother used to play her around the house. Aaliyah would always be missed and would always leave a great impact on music and myself! This whole dress was hand drawn on photoshop. I couldn’t be more happier with the results. I was inspired by Thierry Mugler silhouette and dandelions. Dandelions represent the return of life, the rebirth of growth and green after a harsh winter, and a display of abundant strength and power. Something I feel embodies Aaliyah! Description: I pay tribute to one of my all time favorite artists Aaliyah. A legacy that would never be forgotten. A woman who inspired many generations to come. I wanted to give all my prayers to her loved one. It still feels like yesterday since she left us. This piece was inspired by the Aaliyah 2002 posthumous compilation album "I Care 4 U" color schemes.
