Description: A representation of the opening shot from the 80s Sci-Fi class, Blade Runner. Ridley Scott said that he was inspired by the Swansea steelworks in the U.K, that I have driven past many times. I wanted to caputure the depth of the place, so used 3D in the artwork with bits of pipe and ducting, as well as raised oil paint against a flat washed canvas to convey this. The use of metallic paints and day-glo acrylics emphasis the industrial elements.
